Adele memboyong enam piala Grammy dari enam nominasi pada Grammy Awards ke-54, Minggu. Adele mendapatkan penghargaan album, rekaman dan lagu terbaik tahun ini.

Dengan berlinangan air mata bahagia, pemilik album "21" ini mengucapkan rasa syukurnya.

"Ini merupakan tahun yang paling merubah hidup saya," ujar penyanyi Inggris berusia 23 tahun itu, sambil menyeka air mata.

Pada pidatonya, Adele berkelakar bahwa single populernya yang berjudul "Someone Like You" dan "Rolling in the Deep", terinspirasi dari sebuah "hubungan buruk".

"Someone Like You" berhasil meraih penghargaan sebagai pertunjukan solo pop terbaik.

Adele yang menyanyikan "Rolling in the Deep" pada siaran televisi setempat kala itu, merupakan pertunjukan pertamanya secara langsung setelah "cuti bersuara" akibat pendarahan pada pita suaranya pada tahun lalu.

Penghargaan lain yang diboyong Adele adalah album pop vokal terbaik, dan video musik pendek terbaik.
